Job Description

About Endeavor Hotels Endeavor Hotels is a Chicagoland hotel management company operating 18 properties (approximately 2,700 guest rooms) across the Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Hyatt, and Choice brands. Our corporate office is in Westmont, IL. We use M3 Accounting Core as the accounting and bookkeeping platform for our entire portfolio, and we are looking for an experienced M3 Accounting Administrator to own the system day to day and support accurate, on-time financials for every hotel we manage. Job Summary The M3 Accounting Administrator is the primary administrator and power user of our M3 platform. This role manages system setup and security, supports daily accounting activity across all properties, drives a clean and timely month-end close, and serves as the first point of support for our property and corporate accounting teams. The ideal candidate is a hotel accountant who knows M3 inside and out and enjoys helping others use it well. Key Responsibilities Administer M3 Accounting Core for 18 properties: user accounts, roles and security permissions, chart of accounts, vendor records, and property/company setup for new hotels. Monitor daily interfaces between M3 and property PMS/POS systems; verify daily revenue, cash, and credit card postings import completely and accurately, and resolve exceptions. Support the full accounts payable cycle in M3: invoice workflow and approvals, check and ACH payment runs, vendor inquiries, and 1099/1096 preparation.
Lead the month-end close calendar:
journal entries, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and accruals. Produce and distribute USALI-compliant financial statements (property P&Ls and consolidated portfolio reporting) for owners, brands, and leadership. Prepare and upload budgets and forecasts; maintain recurring entries, allocations, and reporting templates in M3. Provide first-line support and training to General Managers, property accountants, and corporate staff on M3 processes and best practices. Serve as the primary liaison with M3 support; log and track tickets, test updates and new features, and roll out improvements across the portfolio. Support internal and external audits, franchise/brand reporting requirements, and sales/use and occupancy tax filings with accurate M3 data. Maintain documented procedures and internal controls over financial data, user access, and approval workflows. Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on experience with M3 Accounting Core in a hotel or hotel management company environment (required). 5+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience; multi-property hotel accounting strongly preferred. Working knowledge of USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry) reporting standards. Familiarity with major hotel PMS systems (e.g., Opera, OnQ, FOSSE/Marsha, PEP) and how they interface with M3. Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations). Solid understanding of AP, AR, general ledger, bank reconciliation, and month-end close processes. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing firm deadlines for multiple properties at once. Clear communicator who can train and support non-accounting hotel staff with patience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent hotel accounting experience considered. Endeavor Hotels is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
