Qualifications:

Federal experience is not required. Experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or through Volunteer Service . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for this position, you must meet the qualification requirements outlined below:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

You must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the next lower level within the payband or GS grade in the normal line of progression in the Federal service that demonstrates the required managerial skills and technical competence required to perform the job. To be qualifying for this position your experience must include: Experience reviewing and reconciling consolidated subsidiary ledgers with general ledgers, researching discrepancies, and managing complex financial adjustments. Experience reviewing and analyzing accounting transactions, financial reports, and ledger accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Experience analyzing accounting data and financial records to identify discrepancies, determine root causes, and implement or recommend corrective actions to improve the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Experience providing technical guidance on accounting systems, financial reporting requirements, and accounting procedures to ensure consistent application of financial policies and processes. Experience evaluating accounting operations and financial processes to identify efficiencies, strengthen internal controls, and recommend improvements that enhance the quality and effectiveness of financial reporting. Experience reviewing and verifying financial transactions and accounting activities to ensure compliance with established accounting standards, internal controls, and financial management requirements.
