Job Description

Immediate opening for Accounts Receivable/Collections Manager with Construction company in East County. This position requires strong AR experience (minimum 3 years), ideally to include high volume B2B collections. Managerial experience required (1-2 years).
HOURS:
Full-Time Hours, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
DURATION
Temp to Hire (goal of Full-time hire after 3-4 months temp)
WORKPLACE
This is an in-office position located in La Mesa (San Diego County)
PAY:
$75K-$85K, DOE ($36.00-$40.80 per hour)

JOB DUTIES
include, but are not limited to: Lead, mentor, and manage the Accounts Receivable and Collections team of 4, setting clear goals and performance expectations. Oversee day-to-day operations of the A/R process, including invoicing, payment application, and collections. Collaborate with the Controller to align A/R strategies with overall financial goals. Oversee and actively manage team and process for invoicing and cash collections; monitor A/R aging to reduce past-due balances and maintain appropriate DSO levels. Ensure accurate and timely billing in coordination with sales and operations teams. Oversee and actively support collection team and process; prioritize collection efforts and implement escalation paths for high-risk accounts. Resolve disputes and negotiate payment arrangements with key clients while maintaining positive relationships; collaborate with legal or external collection agencies when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
include, but are not limited to: Minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounts Receivable, including collections, preferably in construction related industries Minimum of 1 year supervisory or managerial experience, including strong leadership skills. Strong technical proficiency, including MS Office and accounting software. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with analytical aptitude. Ability to maintain positive relationships, even when working towards resolution. Verifiable references from recent employment. Familiarity with legal collections processes preferred. High school diploma (or equivalent) required, at minimum. Must be able to pass Background check and Drug screen requirements. Legal residents of California only. Visa Sponsorship not available. W2 only.
