Job Description

About us Foster and Company, LLC is a CPA firm with two locations in Wasilla and one in Homer. We have been a family owned business since 2002 and we are family friendly employer. We provide tax preparation and advisory services for individuals and small businesses as well as audit and review services primarily for non-profit organizations. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Auditor to lead and perform audits for a variety of non-profit clients. This role involves planning and managing audits, supervising junior staff, and serving as a knowledgeable advisor on issues unique to the non-profit sector—including compliance, grant reporting, and internal controls. Responsibilities Plan, execute, and complete audit engagements for non-profit organizations in accordance with GAAS Lead fieldwork and manage the audit process from planning through final reporting Review workpapers and financial statements prepared by staff to ensure accuracy and compliance Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting standards (GAAP, FASB updates) and regulations (OMB Uniform Guidance, IRS Form 990, etc.) Provide clients with value-added recommendations and insight into internal controls and operational efficiencies Mentor and supervise junior staff, providing feedback and training as needed Build and maintain strong relationships with client personnel and firm leadership Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Minimum 3-5 years of public accounting experience with a focus on audits of non-profit entities Strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and Uniform Guidance requirements Proficient in audit software PPC Smart Practice Aids, Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a client-facing environment What We Offer Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses Flexible work environment, including remote/hybrid options Generous PTO and paid holidays dental and retirement benefits Continuing education A collaborative team committed to your professional growth Travel will be minimal, most work is completed remotely

$110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
