The Internal Auditor serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Audit Committee by independently assessing risks and controls across the organization. Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, governance processes, and risk management practices. Prepare and present clear, timely audit reports, findings, recommendations, management responses, and corrective-action status reports to executive leadership and the Audit Committee. Monitor and validate management's implementation of corrective actions resulting from audit findings. Lead and coordinate compliance with the NAIC Model Audit Rule, including documentation and testing of internal controls over financial reporting. Use the resources of external auditors, consultants, and other subject matter experts as necessary to support audit, control, and risk management responsibilities. Coordinate internal audit work with external auditors and regulators to improve coverage, reduce duplication, and support examinations and audits. Review financial transactions, reports, and supporting records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable requirements. Recommend new or modified procedures that improve efficiency or compliance and mitigate risk or loss. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the Company's Enterprise Risk Management framework. Facilitate enterprise-wide risk assessments and assist leaders in identifying, evaluating, prioritizing, and mitigating strategic, operational, financial, regulatory, technological, and reputational risks. Develop and maintain the enterprise risk register, risk assessment methodology, risk documentation, and related reporting. Monitor key risk indicators and emerging risks that may affect the Company's objectives or operations. Research and communicate developments in insurance regulation, internal audit, and governance. Promote ethical business practices, accountability, risk awareness, and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Assist in developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and governance standards.
