$20 - $30 Kemper CPA Group LLP, a top 100 public accounting firm, is a multifaceted regional CPA firm with 26 offices in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and California. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an Audit Internship position in our Olney, Illinois office for the summer of 2027 audit season. This internship will provide a real-world introduction to the field of auditing, including emerging accounting and audit issues. The intern will work closely with the audit team, where he or she will receive guidance and gain valuable exposure to the auditing profession. Successful candidates can expect to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, and this position has the potential to become a full-time position. The audit internship begins in late May and goes through early August. Flexible work schedules are offered Monday through Friday. Our senior staff, managers, and partners will help guide you as you develop your technical skills. Job Responsibilities Collect, analyze, and complete field work, audit documents, and work papers. Inspect and examine client documentation; prepare reports on findings. Prepare basic financial statements or supporting schedules. Prepare tax returns as needed. Be willing and able to serve multiple client engagements concurrently. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications and Competencies Candidate for bachelor's degree in accounting and working towards CPA eligibility. Possess technology skills which contribute to the completion of assignments. Display strong oral and written communication in a professional and respectful manner. Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines. Display analytical skills with an orientation to focus on details and accuracy. Willing to take initiative and demonstrate ownership of work assigned. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
