Hiring Agency Justice & Public Safety Cabinet | Kentucky State Police Location 5751 Briar Hill Rd Bldg 1 Lexington, KY 40516 USA Description Kentucky State Police is the premier, full-service law enforcement agency in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. With the highest level of professionalism and integrity the Kentucky State Police works to prevent, reduce, and deter crime and the fear of crime; enhance highway safety through education and enforcement; protect and safeguard individual rights; and provide leadership, training, technical, and operational support to the criminal justice community. Provides professional support to the Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement and Special Investigations branch by planning and conducting investigations involving the examination of financial records and other related records to determine whether violations of policies, rules, regulations and laws have occurred.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with investigations by auditing financial and other related records to help determine if policy or law violations have occurred. Prepare various reports and investigative narratives as requested by the supervisor Testify in court about the audits you conduct Review monthly reports for accuracy Assist other law enforcement agencies with investigative matters.

EDUCATION
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree (which includes twenty semester hours or thirty quarter hours in accounting).
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS
Four years of accounting, auditing, investigative, management, or computer science experience. Substitute

Certification as Certified Public Accountant will substitute for the required education and three years of the required experience.
