October 29, 2026 Audit Manager Saddle Brook, NJ $140,000 / per hour Full time Apply Now Back Job Description An established CPA firm in Bergen County, NJ is looking for an experienced Audit Manager to manage audit and assurance engagements for privately held and family-owned businesses. Construction industry audit experience is required. Experience serving manufacturing, distribution, and real estate clients is strongly preferred. This is a hands-on role that calls for strong technical accounting and auditing skills, the ability to run multiple engagements at once, and the communication skills to work directly with business owners, CFOs, controllers, and management teams. Responsibilities Plan, manage, supervise, and complete audit, review, and compilation engagements Run engagements from initial planning through financial statement issuance, including staffing, fieldwork, review, and wrap-up Supervise, review, and mentor staff accountants Review workpapers and financial statements for compliance with professional standards and firm policies Contribute to staff development, recruiting, and performance evaluations Support partners with client relationship management and practice growth Industry Experience Construction (required): meaningful experience auditing contractors, including percentage of completion, WIP schedules, job costing, revenue recognition, change orders, retainage, and construction financial reporting

Manufacturing:

inventory valuation, standard costing, overhead allocation, fixed assets, and cost of goods sold

Distribution:

inventory, purchasing, warehousing, rebates and allowances, gross margin analysis, and working-capital-intensive operations

Real Estate:
