Responsibilities:

Manage the tax department, overseeing over 1000 EZ returns for individual clients Review returns for accuracy and ensure they are filed in a timely manner Support tax team members with advice and guidance to ensure tax returns are prepared and filed accurately, on time, and maintaining compliance Have a thorough understanding of state and federal tax laws Provide insight and advice to clients ensuring they understand their tax obligations and explaining the outcomes Address inquiries/issues in a timely manner, offering educated answers and resolutions Ensure compliance is maintained at all times, ensuring changes in tax laws are implemented immediately into client services Work well in a team environment as well as independently Work well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, juggling multiple clients at a time Other duties as assigned/as necessary

Details:

100% in-office: Standard 40 hours/week 60 hours/week during tax season (February 1st - April 15th) with mandatory Saturdays 36 hours/week over the summer $65,000 - $100,000 annually depending on experience Bachelors degree in Accounting or similar Active Enrolled Agent certification or CPA license Health, Dental, Vision, PTO, Paid Holidays, 401k match, Disability, Life Insurance 3+ years' tax accounting/preparation experience Proficient computer skills Strong organizational and time management skills Strong communication and presentation skills Strong technical skills Self-motivated Relocation not available
