2997288380-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Plastipak Packaging, Inc. seeks a Quality Auditor to ensure consistent product quality in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will perform line audits, in-process inspections, and final product checks on plastic containers, using gauges, measurement tools, and statistical techniques. Responsibilities include following quality procedures, documenting results, identifying nonconformances, and supporting root-cause analysis and corrective actions. You'll collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and engineering to drive continuous improvement, support customer specifications, and uphold strict safety, hygiene, and sustainability standards on every shift. Responsibilities Perform routine in-process and final product quality audits on plastic packaging lines Use measurement tools, gauges, and visual inspection to verify product specifications Document inspection results, nonconformances, and trends in quality systems Support root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions with cross-functional teams Verify adherence to customer specifications, SOPs, and regulatory requirements Escalate quality issues promptly to production, maintenance, and leadership Assist in calibration checks and proper care of test and measurement equipment Participate in continuous improvement and scrap-reduction initiatives Support training on quality standards and inspection procedures for line personnel Follow all plant safety, cleanliness, and GMP requirements during audits Required Skills Quality auditing Inspection and measurement Statistical process control (SPC) Reading technical drawings/specifications Nonconformance documentation Root-cause analysis support Use of gauges and test equipment Microsoft Office and quality software
