Cannabis Compliance Inspector (Part-Time, Mock OMMA Inspections) Piedmont, OK

Job Description

Cannabis Compliance Inspector (Part-Time, Mock OMMA & DEA-Readiness Inspections) - Piedmont, OK Rise Cannabis LLC | Piedmont, OK | Part-time, with a path to full-time About Us Rise Cannabis is a licensed Oklahoma medical cannabis cultivation facility. We hold ourselves to a high standard, and we want our facility inspection-ready every day, not just on inspection day. As federal cannabis regulation keeps changing, we also want to be ready for DEA-level oversight before it arrives. The Role We're looking for a detail-oriented compliance professional to walk our facility the way an OMMA inspector, or a DEA diversion investigator, would. You'll do regular mock inspections, flag problems before they become violations, and help our team fix them. You'll also be our go-to advisor on getting the building and our systems ready for federal oversight.
Schedule:
1-2 site visits per week, about 1-2 hours each. We'd like a consistent weekly or biweekly routine. What You'll Do OMMA compliance Run mock OMMA inspections of the cultivation facility, using current OMMA rules
Audit Metrc:
plant tags, inventory, harvest batches, waste logs, and transfers Check security, cameras, signage, access controls, and recordkeeping Review SOPs, labeling, and storage for compliance Write a short report after each visit listing findings, risk level, and corrective actions Follow up to confirm earlier findings were fixed Keep us informed about OMMA rule changes and enforcement trends DEA readiness Walk the facility as a DEA inspector would, and identify what the building and our operations need to meet federal controlled-substance standards Assess physical security against DEA expectations: vaults and secure storage, alarm systems, access restrictions, perimeter and entry controls Review inventory, recordkeeping, and chain-of-custody practices against federal standards Advise on theft and loss prevention and reporting procedures, waste and destruction protocols, and employee screening Build a prioritized gap list and a roadmap so we're prepared if federal registration or inspections become required Track federal rescheduling developments and explain what they mean for our facility What We're Looking For Hands-on experience with OMMA compliance. Former OMMA inspectors, compliance managers, and consultants are a strong fit. Knowledge of DEA regulations for controlled substances. Experience with DEA registrants such as pharmacies, distributors, manufacturers, or research facilities is a major plus. Working knowledge of Metrc Sharp eye for detail and clear, direct written reports Reliable and consistent. Showing up on schedule matters here. Able to meet any required OMMA credentialing Must be 21+ with reliable transportation to Piedmont Growth Opportunity This starts as a part-time role, but it can grow into a full-time Compliance Manager position. That could include owning SOPs, staff training, Metrc management, DEA-readiness buildout, and regulatory communication.
Pay:
Negotiable, depending on your experience. If this sounds like a fit, reach out and let's talk. We'd rather have a real conversation than lock in a number up front.
To Apply:
Send your resume and a short note about your OMMA, Metrc, and DEA compliance experience. Former inspectors are encouraged to mention it.
Pay:
$24.68 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 6.0 per week
