Position Summary We're seeking a highly experienced Certified Medical Coder to play a pivotal role in our team. This individual will be responsible for reviewing provider documentation, assigning accurate diagnosis and procedure codes, ensuring payer compliance, and working closely with billing and clinical teams. Key Responsibilities Review clinical documentation (progress notes, histories, physicals, orders, labs, consults) and translate into accurate

ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS

coding Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer coding and billing guidelines Handle coding for pediatric services, urgent care visits, ambulatory clinic procedures Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to query and clarify documentation for coding completeness Monitor and stay current on coding updates, payer policies, and compliance regulations Assist with denial analysis and appeals for coding-related denials Conduct internal audits and quality checks to ensure coding accuracy and consistency Mentor junior coders or act as a subject-matter resource within the coding team Generate reporting, identify coding trends, and recommend process improvements Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional medical coding experience Current coding certification (e.g. CPC, CCS, COC, or equivalent) Strong experience in pediatric coding , urgent care , or ambulatory clinic settings Solid understanding of Medicare / commercial payer rules and compliance Familiarity with

EHR / EMR
