Job Description

Position :
Revenue Auditor.
Salary :
$17.25/Hour.
Location :
Gaming Division.
Reports to:
Finance Manager In accordance with the Gaming Ordinance, all non-gaming employees whose annual income reaches $50,000 or more will be required to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
Responsibilities :
Daily, review documents prepared by casino departments to substantiate and verify transactions and reports, reconcile accounts, verify cash on hand and bank deposits. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare general ledger entries. Responsible for data entry on a variety of statistical reports to be used by management. Identify variations, fluctuations, or deviations, aid in the investigation of these items and report findings to the appropriate personnel Maintain a tracking system for outstanding slips, coupons, etc. for proper accountability. Aid the finance department with revenue analysis. Strictly adhere to the confidentiality requirements of the Finance Division. Must adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and the Finance Department. Must adhere to the Casino's Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during employment. Must maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws, and other communicated expectations, including but not limited to: Employment Manual, Gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Tribal Internal Controls, Departmental Procedures, memos, or other communication from supervisory or regulatory personnel. The above-mentioned duties and responsibilities are NOT an all-inclusive list, but rather a general representation of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position. The duties and responsibilities will be subject to change based upon organization needs and/or deemed necessary by the department manager. All other assigned duties.
Qualifications & Education :
High School Diploma or GED is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Mohican Nation Gaming License. Must submit to a Criminal Investigation Background Check (CIB). Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening and health screening. Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays. Must be at least 18 years of age. North Star Mohican Casino Resort is looking for a courteous and friendly individual. Two years' experience in accounting is required. Audit experience is preferred. Must pass a basic math and accounting exam and accounting principles test. Must have excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word and Microsoft Office. A working knowledge of accounting software is required. Strong accounting and report writing skills are required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork is essential.
Work Conditions :
Constant hand movements (repetitive motions: grasping, holding, use of finger dexterity). Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Constant walking and standing which may include kneeling, crouching, reaching and bending. Occasional pushing/pulling, lifting and/or moving up to sixty (60) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus. Work is generally performed in a casino setting with a higher noise level and where cigarette smoke is prevalent. Work environment is smoke-free, but noise and dust levels depend upon area. How to
