Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced, roof-ready Field Claim Coordinator to join our insurance team. In this role, you will own the field side of your assigned insurance claims — meeting adjusters on the property, documenting damage to a standard that holds up under carrier review, running repair tests and ITEL sampling, presenting supplements face-to-face, and working the scope on-site so the adjuster leaves with an accurate picture of what the roof needs. This is a relationship role as much as an inspection role: you'll build real rapport with the adjusters who work our market, earn their trust through clean documentation and professionalism, and advocate persuasively for the full scope of damage while the carrier is still on the roof. If you combine a sales mindset with technical credibility, know how to walk an adjuster through storm damage, and keep a full route of inspections moving every day, this position puts you at the center of a growing insurance department. Responsibilities Attend adjuster meetings and re-inspections in person on assigned claims, walking the roof with the carrier's adjuster and presenting all storm-related damage clearly, persuasively, and professionally. Advocate on-site for the full scope of damage — test squares, collateral damage, code-required items, and accessories — and work with the adjuster to reach agreement on scope before the meeting ends, with the homeowner's authorization. Present supplements to adjusters in person at re-inspections, walking through each line item with the supporting photos, test results, and code references, and securing agreement on as many items as possible on-site. Build and maintain strong working relationships with the carrier, independent, and desk adjusters active in the Phoenix market; be the contractor they trust to document accurately and deal straight. Capture complete photo and video documentation of all roof slopes, elevations, and collateral damage at every site visit and upload it to the claim file the same day. Collect and ship ITEL samples and conduct repair tests (brittleness, seal, and similar) to establish repairability, documenting each to a standard a carrier will accept. Coordinate with the office supplement team before each re-inspection and report back the adjuster's position on each item afterward so unresolved items can be pursued in writing; escalate to the insurance director when a claim warrants re-inspection or appraisal. Coordinate with homeowners on access, meeting times, and expectations, keep them informed after each inspection, and attend pre-build walkthroughs to confirm the approved scope matches field conditions. Keep the CRM current after every site visit — photos, test results, meeting notes, supplement outcomes, adjuster contacts, and next actions — and keep sales reps and leadership informed of field outcomes and adjuster trends by carrier. Maintain ladder, fall-protection, vehicle, and inspection equipment in good working order and follow all company safety procedures. Qualifications Proven experience inspecting and documenting property insurance claims in roofing or storm restoration, including direct experience attending adjuster meetings and re-inspections. A sales-minded, relationship-driven approach — comfortable building rapport quickly, reading the room, and making a persuasive case for scope face-to-face without becoming adversarial. Strong knowledge of the insurance claims lifecycle — ACV, RCV, depreciation, supplements, and re-inspections — and how field documentation drives each stage. Ability to read and explain a Xactimate-based supplement line by line, including code-upgrade items and manufacturer requirements, and defend each item with field evidence. Working knowledge of ITEL sampling and reporting, repair test protocols, and the documentation standards carriers expect for test squares and collateral damage. Comfortable climbing ladders and walking steep, low-slope, tile, and foam roofs in Arizona heat; able to lift 50 lbs and carry a ladder. Proficiency with photo documentation apps (CompanyCam or similar), CRM software, and standard office applications. Strong writing and documentation skills, with the ability to produce a field report that withstands adjuster scrutiny. Valid Arizona driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation; able to manage a daily route of appointments across the Phoenix metro independently. Knowledge of applicable Arizona insurance regulations and policy terms as they relate to roofing claims is advantageous. Join our team as a Field Claim Coordinator if you are eager to put your inspection, relationship, and claims expertise to work in a role that values ownership, precision, and persistent follow-through. We are committed to supporting your professional growth while providing a collaborative environment where your skills can truly shine!
