Quality Body & Fender is looking for a junior estimator to join our team. We're not looking for someone who simply wants a job—we're looking for someone who wants to learn the collision repair business and build a career. For over 45 years Quality Body & Fender is a long-standing, family-owned collision repair shop in Oakland with deep roots in the community. We are a high-volume, customer-service-driven shop partnered with major insurance carriers and local dealerships, and we are looking to grow our team. We're looking for someone who is: Highly organized and detail-oriented Comfortable working with computers and learning new software A strong communicator Professional and friendly with customers Curious about how vehicles are built and repaired Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfortable asking questions and learning from experienced professionals Reliable, accountable, and willing to take ownership of their work Interested in building a long-term career in the collision industry As a Junior Estimator, you'll work alongside experienced estimators and our production team while learning the complete collision repair process.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assist with vehicle damage inspections and repair estimates Learn how to identify collision-related damage and required repairs Photograph and document vehicle damage Learn CCC ONE estimating and repair planning Research OEM repair procedures and manufacturer requirements Assist with parts identification, pricing, and ordering Communicate with customers, insurance companies, technicians, and parts vendors Help supplement estimates as additional damage is discovered Track vehicle status and help keep repairs moving through the shop Assist with quality control and final vehicle inspections Learn how labor operations, parts, materials, and sublet operations are properly documented Develop an understanding of insurance claims, DRP programs, OEM procedures, and proper collision repair practices Work closely with technicians, painters, production staff, and management

Experience:

Collision estimating experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person. Experience in any of the following is a plus: Auto body or collision repair Automotive repair Parts Service advising Dealerships CCC ONE or Mitchell Customer service Automotive sales Mechanical or technical fields The right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn matter more to us than having years of estimating experience.
