Duties Assess collision damage on vehicles using industry-standard estimating software and manual measurement techniques Communicate clearly with customers to explain repair estimates, answer questions, and provide updates throughout the repair process Collaborate with technicians, mechanics, and body shop staff to determine repair scope and ensure timely completion of work Prepare detailed repair estimates that include parts, labor, paint, and additional services such as alignments or suspension repairs Handle insurance claims processing by submitting estimates and negotiating repairs with insurance adjusters Upsell additional services like oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, or suspension work to enhance customer satisfaction and shop revenue Maintain accurate records of all estimates, customer interactions, and repair documentation in compliance with company policies Qualifications Proven experience in dealership or auto service management as a collision estimator or service advisor Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures including transmissions, oil changes, brake repairs, and alignments Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing processes Mechanical aptitude with mechanic experience or automotive repair background preferred Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Ability to handle cash transactions accurately when necessary Knowledge of various automotive systems such as air brakes, shocks & struts, suspension components, tire service, diesel engines, and auto body repair techniques is highly desirable Join our team where your expertise helps bring vehicles back to life!
