Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Collision Estimator to join our team and drive excellence in vehicle damage assessment and repair planning. In this role, you will evaluate collision damage, prepare accurate estimates, and communicate effectively with customers and repair teams to ensure seamless service. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional customer experiences while maximizing shop profitability through upselling and efficient workflow management. Responsibilities Assess vehicle collision damage thoroughly using estimating software and automotive diagnostics tools to create precise repair estimates. Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair procedures, costs, and timelines to ensure transparency and satisfaction. Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to develop effective repair plans that meet quality standards and customer expectations. Identify opportunities for upselling additional services such as oil changes, tire services, suspension repairs, brake work, shocks & struts, transmissions, or other maintenance needs. Manage client communication throughout the repair process, providing updates and answering questions promptly. Utilize computer-aided vehicle damage estimating systems to generate detailed repair estimates efficiently. Assist in dealership or shop operations by handling cash transactions when necessary and maintaining accurate documentation of all estimates and repairs. Requirements Proven experience as a collision estimator or in automotive service management with a strong background in estimating software and auto estimating techniques. Hands-on mechanic experience or automotive diagnostics knowledge to accurately assess vehicle damage and recommend repairs. Familiarity with dealership operations, collision repair processes, and automotive repair standards. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including transmissions, suspension components, tire services, shocks & struts, brake systems, and oil changes. Demonstrated ability to upsell additional services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicles safely. Strong computer skills including experience with estimating software and service writing platforms. Cash handling experience is preferred but not required; attention to detail is essential for accurate documentation. Pay:
$71,261.92 - $85,820.80 per year
