Job Summary This is a full time, 40/week position. Applicants must have open availability and will work nights, holidays and weekends. We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Vehicle Condition Assessor to join our dynamic automotive team. In this role, you will be responsible for thoroughly inspecting, evaluating, and documenting the condition of vehicles to ensure accuracy and quality standards. Your keen eye for detail and mechanical aptitude will help facilitate vehicle assessments that support our vehicle remarketing, repair, and maintenance processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicles, utilizing your automotive knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver precise evaluations that drive operational excellence. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive visual and mechanical inspections of vehicles, including exterior, interior, and under-the-hood assessments. Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform basic repairs or identify issues requiring further attention. Assess vehicle systems such as electrical, mechanical, braking, suspension, and auto body components for wear, damage, or malfunction. Perform automotive tire changes and basic vehicle maintenance tasks as needed during inspections. Document detailed findings using auto estimating software and prepare accurate reports on vehicle condition. Identify necessary repairs or parts replacements by leveraging automotive parts and accessories knowledge. Assist with vehicle inspections for auto body repair estimates or restoration projects while ensuring safety standards are maintained. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and vehicle maintenance. Familiarity with standard passenger car operation and mechanical systems repair. Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems and auto body repair techniques. Knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, auto estimating procedures, and vehicle inspection protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively. Customer service skills to communicate findings clearly to team members or clients when necessary. Pay:
