Job Description
Job Description Classic Collision, a fast-growing national auto body repair company, is seeking a Collision Estimator to join our customer-focused team. In this role, you will inspect collision-damaged vehicles, write accurate repair estimates, and communicate clearly with customers, insurers, and technicians. You'll photograph damage, document repair plans, source parts, and update repair orders for status and supplements. Working in a fast-paced shop, you'll balance workflow, support quality and safety standards, and help ensure on-time delivery while providing an exceptional customer experience and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Inspect collision-damaged vehicles and document all visible and hidden damage Prepare accurate, itemized repair estimates using estimating software Capture photos and records to support estimates and insurance claims Communicate repair plans, costs, and timelines to customers and insurers Coordinate with technicians and parts personnel to support repair workflow Update repair orders, supplements, and status changes in shop systems Verify parts, labor, and materials align with insurer and shop guidelines Support quality and safety standards throughout the repair process Assist with customer check-in, delivery, and follow-up for satisfaction Contribute to continuous improvement and teamwork in a fast-paced shop Required Skills Collision damage estimating Automotive repair knowledge Estimating software (e.g., CCC ONE) Insurance claim documentation Blueprinting and repair planning Customer service Parts sourcing and pricing Written and verbal communication Time management Basic computer skills
