Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and talented Assistant Branch Manager (CSR3) to assist and support the Branch Manager in the administration and efficient operations of a full service financial institution. The Assistant Branch Manager (CSR3) is responsible for supporting the overall daily operations of the branch and assisting the Branch Manager in achieving branch goals and objectives. The CSR3 helps foster an exceptional customer experience by providing knowledgeable, responsive, and professional service. The CSR3 monitors, directs, and coaches branch employees throughout the day to ensure established policies, procedures, operational controls, and regulatory requirements are consistently followed. The CSR3 serves as a leader and resource to branch staff and assists with identifying and developing new customer relationships and business opportunities. This position will float to our Anne Arundel County and Baltimore County locations. Responsibilities Performs duties and responsibilities of the Branch Manager in the Manager's absence. Supports the Branch Manager in the daily management and overall performance of the branch. Opens, maintains, and services customer account relationships in accordance with bank policies and procedures. Manages day-to-day branch activities, including operations, administration, staffing, and providing direction to branch employees. Provides outstanding customer service and promotes a positive customer experience. Serves as a role model for professional behavior, customer service, and adherence to bank policies and procedures. Adheres to and enforces branch security policies, procedures, and internal controls. Supports and adheres to applicable compliance, regulatory, BSA/AML, and bank policies and procedures. Monitors branch activity and identifies, escalates, and assists in resolving potential operational, compliance, fraud, or security risks. Trains, coaches, and develops team members on customer service, operational procedures, products, compliance requirements, and risk management. Exercises sound decision-making and judgment to identify and mitigate potential risk. Supervises vault operations, cash controls, balancing procedures, and dual-control requirements. Maintains current knowledge of branch policies, procedures, products, services, and applicable regulatory requirements. Performs a variety of teller and customer service transactions accurately and efficiently. Assists with branch opening and closing procedures and ensures appropriate security and operational controls are maintained. Assists in identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate bank products and services. Assists in promoting new business and strengthening existing customer relationships for the branch. Participates in community outreach, business development, and relationship-building activities as appropriate. Assists with handling customer complaints, concerns, and problems and works to resolve issues promptly and professionally. Fosters a positive work environment that facilitates teamwork, employee development, and exceptional customer service. Skills Minimum two years of retail banking, branch operations, or related financial services experience, with demonstrated knowledge of branch procedures and customer service practices. Highly effective communicator, coach, and multitasker with strong time-management, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop employees while maintaining a positive and professional work environment. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify operational, compliance, and security risks and take appropriate corrective action. Working knowledge of banking products, services, operational procedures, and applicable regulatory and compliance requirements. Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive customer and bank information appropriately. Ensures audit controls and operational procedures are consistently followed by branch staff.
