A well-established, growing moving and storage company is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead operations at its Fort Wayne location. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, physical, customer-facing business and wants full ownership of a branch's performance, people, and profitability. The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the branch — driving revenue, controlling costs, delivering excellent customer service, and building a strong, accountable crew. This role owns the P&L for the location and reports directly to senior leadership. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Own full P&L responsibility for the branch, including revenue growth, labor cost control, and overall profitability Recruit, hire, train, and develop crew leads, movers, and office staff; build bench strength and succession plans Plan and oversee daily staffing, crew assignments, and scheduling for local and long-distance moving jobs Manage fleet and equipment readiness in coordination with maintenance to ensure trucks are safe, compliant, and available for the day's schedule Serve as the final point of escalation for customer service issues, complaints, and claims; ensure timely resolution and documentation Build and maintain relationships with local referral sources, real estate agents, and community partners to drive lead generation Conduct in-home or virtual estimates as needed and support crews on job sites when required Manage local marketing efforts and monitor online reviews/reputation for the branch Enforce company policies, procedures, and standards consistently across the team Handle disciplinary actions, performance management, and employee relations issues for branch staff Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a management or supervisory role, ideally in moving, logistics, warehousing, or another operations-heavy, labor-intensive industry Demonstrated experience owning P&L or budget responsibility for a location, department, or team Proven track record hiring, training, and retaining hourly/physical-labor teams Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to handle escalated situations calmly and professionally Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to safely operate a box truck up to 26 ft. if needed Comfortable with scheduling, dispatch, and billing/CRM software (training provided on company-specific systems) Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced, physical work environment Ability to lift and move heavy items and follow team-lift safety procedures Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry heavy or awkward items, using team lifts as required for items over 50 lbs. $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
