Standard Business Hours Position Summary This newly created Branch Manager role is responsible for leading the overall performance of the Metro Milwaukee branch , with direct accountability for sales growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. Unlike a traditional management role, the Branch Manager serves as both the branch leader and a frontline sales contributor, actively generating new business, managing key customer relationships, and driving revenue growth within the territory. This position combines hands-on selling responsibilities with branch leadership duties, including business development, customer engagement, delivery of marketing events, customer training, financial oversight, team leadership, coaching, customer relationship management, and execution of company strategies. The Branch Manager is expected to develop new accounts, expand existing customer relationships, and lead by example in all aspects of the sales process. As the local business leader, the incumbent drives profitable growth by balancing personal sales production with branch management responsibilities. This includes identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, optimizing branch operations, developing and coaching team members, fostering collaboration across sales, marketing, and operational functions, and ensuring the successful execution of business objectives. Through a strong combination of leadership, sales acumen, and operational expertise, the Branch Manager establishes a high-performance culture while delivering exceptional results for customers and the organization. This role requires working from the branch office, frequent customer visits throughout the Milwaukee metro area, and leadership of a team of sales representatives. This position is not a work from home role. To be considered for this role, you must reside in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington, or Waukesha County. Job Responsibilities Leads, develops and coaches team: Provides clear expectations, feedback and recognition Participates in the hiring/selection process Writes and conducts performance evaluations and progress reports Handles associate relations issues Drive revenue growth in assigned area through direct selling activities, business development, and sales team leadership. Develop and execute market sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, profitability, and market share objectives. Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, strategic accounts, and community partners. Conduct customer visits, presentations, contract negotiations, and sales reviews. Collaborate with Marketing and corporate sales teams to support lead generation, customer acquisition, customer retention, market expansion, promotional activities, trade shows, and customer events. Leverage market intelligence, customer feedback, competitive insights, and sales data to identify growth opportunities and improve business performance. Manage sales pipeline activity, forecasting, lead conversion, and overall sales effectiveness. Oversee day-to-day office location operations to ensure efficiency, service quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Monitor office performance metrics and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement. Manage office expenses, resources, and overall profitability, maintaining accountability for territory performance. Analyze financial, operational, and sales metrics to identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost control, and operational efficiencies. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and results-driven performance. Lead team communications and ensure alignment with company objectives, initiatives, and performance goals. Serve as the primary escalation point for customer concerns and ensure timely resolution of issues. Identify opportunities to increase customer loyalty through enhanced service, solutions, and relationship management. Represent the company within the local business community and industry organizations. Carries out responsibilities in a fair, ethical and non-discriminatory manner, and ensures that staff follows these same guidelines. Sets budgets and manages expenses in line with departmental budgets and corporate business conditions. Enforces and supports all company policies and procedures. Fully supports the Company's commitment to safety and the environment, and strives to maintain a clean, healthy and safe workplace.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a business related field, or a related work experience preferred. 5 years of related experience. Must have customer-facing experience in sales or consulting.
Other Qualifications:
Strong sales, negotiation, business development, and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute growth strategies and business plans. Strong leadership, coaching, team-building, and associate development capabilities. Financial acumen with knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build effective partnerships across sales, marketing, operations, and corporate functions. Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills. Proficiency with SAP, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to operational excellence. Physical Requirements Work is performed primarily in a branch office. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time.
