ABC Cutting Contractors is a Veteran-owned business specializing in concrete and asphalt cutting, core drilling, wall sawing, slab sawing, decorative sawing, grinding, and related specialty services. We use specialized equipment to complete challenging commercial, road bridge, and municipal projects throughout Northeast Florida. ABC Cutting Contractors is seeking an experienced Accountant or Senior Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day accounting functions of our company. Previous hands-on experience with South Ware accounting software is preferred, however, QuickBooks is also acceptable.. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who is comfortable taking ownership of the accounting function in a small-to-medium-sized business environment. A four-year accounting degree is not required, if you have strong practical accounting experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Are Maintain accurate accounting records using SouthWare, Accounts payable and vendor management, Accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections, Bank and credit card reconciliations, General ledger maintenance, Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports, Maintain job costing and project-related accounting information, Monitor cash flow and account balances, Maintain fixed asset records, Assist with month-end and year-end closing, Prepare information for the company's outside CPA, Assist management with budgeting, financial analysis, and special projects, Maintain organized and accurate accounting documentation.

Qualifications:

Accounting experience in construction, contracting, or a service business, Experience with job costing, Payroll experience, Experience preparing monthly financial statements, An accounting degree or related education is helpful but not required for a hightly experienced candidate.

From $60,000.00 per year
