Company Overview Aloha House is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential substance use and mental health services in Maui. Our mission is to empower individuals and families to achieve lasting recovery, fostering healthier and happier lives within our community. Summary We are seeking a Bookkepper to join our team at Aloha House in Maui. This role is vital in ensuring accurate financial operations that support our mission of helping individuals achieve recovery. The position has primary responsibility for the origination, accuracy, and timeliness of all contract billing, revenue recording, and compliance reporting, and coordinates with the General Ledger Accountant to support month-end close and financial statement accuracy. Responsibilities 1. Processes all cost reimbursement invoices for Tri-Agency and records initial contract revenue entries in the General Ledger. Coordinates with the General Ledger Accountant for review, adjustment, and finalization of revenue during month-end close. 2. Processes and tracks Tri-Agency electronic billings (except for Behavioral Health Services and Maui Consulting Group managed crisis contracts and insurance billings), ensuring all billing-related revenue entries are complete and properly supported prior to month-end close. 3. Files monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual expenditure reports with funding agencies. 4. Submits yearly budget renewals (on existing contracts) and budget revisions as required. 5. Files copies of and distributes expenditure and progress reports to funding agencies. 6. Maintains contract files for Tri-Agencies in an orderly and secure manner; reviews contracts for fiscal requirements, billing terms, and reporting deadlines. 7. Acts as liaison with State, County, and federal contract officials regarding fiscal compliance matters. Qualifications 1. Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years). 2. Strong background with contracts fiscal management, including preparation of contract budgets and report filing. 3. Experience with cost reimbursement billing and compliance reporting. 4. Proficient in Sage 100, Windows, Word and Excel.
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
