Type:

full-time Our client is seeking a professional for a bookkeeper position in Aurora, IL. The ideal candidate will possess over three years of bookkeeping experience, with great interpersonal skills. This role involves managing all aspects of the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Other functions include reconciliation of bank accounts, creating journal entries, and GL maintenance.

ASAP Responsibilities:

Process and enter vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding to the appropriate accounts Record, organize, and maintain accounts payable records and vendor bills Complete client invoicing and assist in resolving billing discrepancies Process payments by cash, check, or credit card Review and post daily cash deposit batches Perform bank account and credit card reconciliations Assist with collections activities and follow up on past-due accounts Update and maintain accurate accounting records and financial data Manage inventory of office products and supplies

Requirements:

3+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
