Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Full-Time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help support the organization's financial health and operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced accounting software and contribute to meaningful projects within a collaborative environment. Duties Manage and maintain Accounts Receivable, including customer invoicing, posting payments, monitoring outstanding balances, and following up on past-due accounts. Manage Accounts Payable, including entering vendor invoices, verifying charges, scheduling payments, and maintaining accurate vendor records. Process and maintain weekly payroll, including reviewing employee hours, entering payroll information, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring payroll is completed accurately and on time. Maintain accurate and organized financial records and supporting documentation. Perform bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations as well as deposits. Record and categorize daily financial transactions. Assist with month-end and year-end bookkeeping procedures. Prepare reports and financial information for management as requested. Communicate with customers and vendors regarding invoices, account balances, payments, and billing questions. Research and resolve discrepancies involving customer accounts, vendor accounts, invoices, and payments. Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for financial documents and records. Assist management and outside accountants with documentation needed for financial reporting, tax preparation, audits, or year-end accounting. Answer incoming telephone calls in a friendly and professional manner and direct calls to the appropriate team member when necessary. Assist with general administrative and office responsibilities as needed. Requirements 3-5 years of bookkeeping, accounting support, or related office experience preferred. Experience with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable required. Experience processing or assisting with weekly payroll preferred. Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software strongly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. Strong mathematical, data-entry, and computer skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to maintain confidential employee, payroll, customer, and company financial information. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. Ability to work independently and meet weekly and monthly deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional phone etiquette and customer-service skills. Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve bookkeeping or account issues. Dependable, responsible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
