What You'll Do Working directly with the Controller, the Accounting Specialist will provide hands-on support for the day-to-day accounting operations of IFS.

Responsibilities will include:

Preparing journal entries and accounting transactions. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including researching and resolving discrepancies. Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures. Preparing accounting reports, schedules, and supporting documentation. Maintaining accurate and organized financial records. Supporting financial reporting, budgeting, and cash-flow activities. Assist with cost accounting activities, including maintaining accurate cost records and supporting financial analysis. Supporting audits and other accounting projects. Maintaining the confidentiality and security of financial information. Following established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Helping identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, accuracy, and efficiency. Performing other accounting-related duties and projects as assigned. What We're Looking For The right candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. You take pride in your work, communicate effectively, follow through on responsibilities, and understand that accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity are essential in accounting. Required Qualifications 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience. Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered. Knowledge of general ledger accounting. Experience with general accounting functions, including reconciliations and accounting transactions. Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to maintain confidential financial information. Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively as a positive and collaborative member of a team. Preferred Qualifications Experience preparing journal entries, financial, and management reports. Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and financial reporting. Proficient with ERP and accounting systems, including QuickBooks and Power BI, with experience using Fishbowl and other inventory/accounting software. Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP. Experience in manufacturing accounting and cost accounting, including tracking and analyzing production costs. Experience with inventory accounting, job costing, and inventory reconciliation. Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. Why Join IFS?
