Jenkins CPA is looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail oriented, and comfortable working with numbers. This position will work with a variety of clients and help keep their financial records accurate, organized, and up to date throughout the year. Our ideal candidate has bookkeeping experience, enjoys working directly with clients, and understands the importance of accuracy and timeliness. You should be comfortable managing multiple accounts and deadlines while still providing friendly, professional service. Responsibilities As a Bookkeeper, you may be responsible for: Recording and categorizing financial transactions Reconciling bank and credit card accounts Maintaining accurate general ledger records Preparing and reviewing monthly financial reports Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable Assisting with payroll related bookkeeping as needed Identifying discrepancies and helping resolve bookkeeping issues Communicating with clients to gather documents and clarify transactions Keeping client records organized and current Working closely with our accounting and tax team to ensure accurate financial information Assisting with other bookkeeping and accounting tasks as needed What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: Has previous bookkeeping or accounting experience Is highly organized and pays close attention to detail Can manage multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines Is comfortable working independently while also being part of a team Communicates professionally and confidently with clients Handles confidential financial information responsibly Is comfortable learning new systems and processes Has experience with bookkeeping or accounting software Experience working with multiple businesses or in a CPA, accounting, or bookkeeping firm is a plus.
