. Description Robert Half is seeking Accounts Payable Specialists for contract and project opportunities with local organizations. These roles are a great fit for detail-oriented professionals who enjoy processing invoices, resolving discrepancies, and helping accounting teams keep payments accurate and timely. Assignment length and responsibilities vary based on client needs.

Responsibilities may include: Review, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately. Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation. Research discrepancies and follow up on missing information or approvals. Reconcile vendor statements and respond to payment inquiries. Assist with payment processing and maintain organized AP records. Support invoice backlog cleanup and other accounting projects as needed. Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve outstanding items. Requirements Previous accounts payable or related accounting experience. Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills. Ability to manage a steady volume of invoices and competing priorities. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Strong communication and follow-through skills. Ability to learn new systems and work independently while collaborating with a team. Purchase order matching and high-volume invoice processing experience preferred. Manufacturing or other fast-paced business experience helpful, but not required.
