Project Accounting Specialist Connor Construction, LLC Woodbury, NJ Job Details Full-time From $50,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Paid sick time Qualifications Accounts receivable management Financial issue resolution Attention to detail QuickBooks Associate's degree Full Job Description Job Summary Connor Construction is hiring a Project Accounting Specialist to manage billing, collections, and subcontractor payments across our construction projects. We are looking for someone who is organized, follows through, and works well with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Responsibilities Prepare and track client invoices, including progress billings and AIA payment applications. Follow up on outstanding invoices and maintain an accurate accounts receivable aging report. Receive, review, code, and enter subcontractor and vendor invoices; match charges to contracts, approved change orders, and project records. Obtain project manager approvals and resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and subcontractors. Maintain AP aging and payment schedules; prepare approved payment runs and reconcile vendor statements. Collect and track lien waivers, W-9s, and required insurance documents before payment. Enter and reconcile project AR and AP transactions in QuickBooks. Work with project managers to resolve billing questions and missing documentation. Prepare weekly reports showing expected client payments, invoices due, and upcoming subcontractor payments. Experience Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or project accounting. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines across multiple projects. Clear, professional communication with clients, subcontractors, and coworkers. Proficiency with Excel and accounting software; QuickBooks experience is preferred. Construction accounting experience, including AIA billing and lien waivers, is strongly preferred.

From $50,000.00 per year
