The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience, a positive mindset, strong organizational skills, and self-initiative. We need someone with independent judgment and a multitasking attitude who can effectively deliver on all aspects of the company's job duties and responsibilities. Responsibilities Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using software such as
QuickBooks Online
TOAST
ADP•, •UltiPro•, and others.
Perform
vendor statement reconciliations
and
general ledger accounting
to ensure accuracy of financial statements. Prepare and post journal entries, including complex
debit & credit
transactions, ensuring compliance with
GAAP
standards. Conduct detailed
account analysis
and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities. Utilize various
financial software
such as
QuickBooks
, •Xero•, •Sage•, •PeopleSoft•, and others for data entry, reporting, and analysis.
Assist with internal controls related to
SOX compliance
and support external audits by providing necessary documentation. Maintain detailed records of financial transactions while handling sensitive or confidential information securely. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities through advanced use of
Excel data analysis
and other tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Payroll & AR) to improve accounting processes and ensure adherence to organizational policies. Qualifications Proven experience in
corporate accounting
, including familiarity with
public accounting
practices preferred. Strong understanding of
GAAP
, •governmental accounting•, or non-profit accounting is advantageous.
Proficiency in multiple accounting systems such as
QBO•, •Sage•, •TOAST•, or similar platforms.
Experience with payroll systems like
ADP•, •TOAST•, or equivalent is desirable.
Skilled in using the Microsoft Office suite, especially advanced Excel functions such as formulas, pivot tables, V-Look Up and data analysis tools. Knowledge of financial concepts including journal entries, account reconciliation, account analysis, budgeting, credit analysis, and balance sheet management. Excellent attention to detail with strong numeracy skills; capable of performing precise data entry (including 10 key typing). Ability to handle confidential information professionally while demonstrating integrity in all tasks. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
