In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the company's incoming payments, ensuring accurate recording of receivables, and maintaining strong communication with clients and internal departments. Your expertise will help streamline our revenue cycle management, uphold compliance with financial standards, and support our organization's financial health. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your accounting skills within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Process and record incoming payments using various accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, and other financial systems Manage collections accounts by following up on overdue invoices and resolving billing discrepancies with clients Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy in financial records and perform account reconciliation regularly Prepare detailed journal entries for revenue recognition and ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Collaborate with customer service teams to address client inquiries related to billing, payments, or account status Assist in month-end closing activities by analyzing spreadsheets, performing Excel data analysis, and preparing reports for management Maintain accurate data entry of all receivable transactions while adhering to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls for financial reporting integrity Strong knowledge of accounting concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and revenue cycle management Experience with Excel formulas, spreadsheets, and data analysis techniques to support financial decision-making Excellent client communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for effective customer service and collections account management Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks such as data entry, account reconciliation, and invoice processing simultaneously+ KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS
AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
High school diploma required. Associates Degree in Accounting or related field preferred. A solid business aptitude required. 1-3 years general accounting experience with a strong background in credit and collections. A Bachelor's degree in a related field can be considered in lieu of experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook) and a high level of proficiency working in a computer-based environment. The position will use web browsing, phone apps and ERP on a daily basis. Strong communication and negotiation skills required. A self-directed, can-do attitude. Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to learn new applications independently. Proven ability to multi-task and work extended hours as the position requirements warrant. TCM (Time Critical Management) experience preferred. Proven understanding that all company departments are customers of accounting department.
