Job Description

As our bookkeeper We are looking for passionate and hardworking individuals that bring a variety of life lessons and want to build trusting relationships with the at-hope youth and adults we serve. This is a part-time position based out of our Shawano, WI office, with the potential to transition into a hybrid schedule after initial onboarding. Starting Wage $20/hr. Paid Training, Paid Time Off, Referral Program What will you do? Execute daily revenue collection and vendor payment workflows. In this role you will ensure timely billing to Medicaid, managed care organizations(MCOs), and public agencies, while allocating vendor costs across various community-based service lines. Accounts Receivable (AR - Government & Public Revenue) Medicaid billing: Submit, track, and follow up on Medicaid and Medicaid managed care organization (MCO) claims.
Public contracts:
Invoice school districts, county departments, or state government bodies for contracted human services.
Denial management:
Research, troubleshoot, and resolve unpaid or denied public funding and agency claims to minimize revenue loss.
Aging reports:
Review past-due program accounts and actively follow up with government agency representatives or case managers. Accounts Payable (AP - Operational Expenses) Cost allocation: Code vendor invoices accurately across multiple company departments, programs, or geographic branches.
Expense auditing:
Audit and reconcile employee mileage logs, program expense reports, and corporate credit cards.
Vendor relations:
Manage payments for office leases, utilities, program resources, and technology vendors.
Invoice processing:
Review, verify, and reconcile routine business bills and internal check requests.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
2+ years of full-cycle AP/AR experience, specifically in a Medicaid-funded, healthcare, or private human services company.
Specialized knowledge:
Familiarity with Medicaid billing systems, government portals, or electronic health record (EHR) financial modules.
Software skills:
Proficiency in Sage accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Compliance standards:
Strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and private financial data security.
Work schedule:
Ability to work part-time hours on-site at the Shawano office, with the flexibility to adapt to a hybrid arrangement in the future.
