Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, accounting, finance or a related field, two years of experience in providing professional-level administrative, analytical and/or operational support; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to make decisions in accordance with laws, ordinances, regulations, and established policies
Proficiency with relevant technologies and software tools.
Ability to maintain complex records and prepare reports from such records
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to communicate in a professional and thoughtful manner by presenting information clearly and in various formats that can be understood by all levels of the organization
Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Electronic file creation and organization.
Ability to interpret data and make recommendations for changes in processes and procedures.
Requires in depth knowledge of financial analysis and budgetary processes.
Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required. Under general supervision, this position supports the Treasurer's Office by advancing its financial and budgetary objectives. The role is responsible for developing and coordinating budget documents and data, leading process improvements related to the office's financial operations, and monitoring financial systems to ensure efficient and effective performance. Examples of work
Full scope responsibility for budgetary items to include analysis of expenditures, reconciliation of purchase orders, monitoring of the budget and budget development processes.
Responsible for workload indicators to include development and review of indicators for viability and effectiveness, development of tracking and reporting methods for these and communicating data both verbally and through reports to upper management.
Responsible for Compensation Board Budget data collection.
Responsible for all vendor and contract management to include detailed analysis of procurement needs with special attention to items related to tax billings and taxpayer communications (postage, envelopes, bill printing services, etc.).
Initiate and implement process improvements related to financial aspects of the office. Provide documentation, communicate with and provide training to appropriate staff involved to include responsibilities as Procurement and Budgetary Workday SME.
Responsible for procurement related activities including creating purchase orders, administration of the purchasing cards and travel cards.
Payroll Liaison for the Treasurer's Office.
Records Retention Liaison for the Treasurer's Office.
Responsible for managing office supplies and submitting work orders for the office.
Performs other work as required. This position is a part of an approved Career Development Plan (CDP) and offers career progression opportunities and salary incentives, as funding permits, based on performance, qualifications, and experience. Monday - Friday; 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Treasurer
