Job Description

Position Summary The Chief Financial Officer is T47 International's senior financial executive and strategic advisor to the Chief Executive Officer. The position is accountable for financial strategy, accounting, reporting, cash management, government-contract finance, invoicing, taxation, financing, insurance, financial controls, systems, and decision-quality analysis across the company. The CFO leads the financial infrastructure required to manage annual revenue exceeding $40 million and support continued corporate growth. The role works closely with executive leadership, Operations, Contracts, Growth, People and Culture, customers, lenders, auditors, brokers, and other stakeholders to maintain compliant, accurate, timely, and scalable financial operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the CEO's principal financial advisor and provide independent analysis and recommendations regarding performance, cash, capital, risk, growth, and strategic decisions.
  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, annual budget, forecasts, long-range plans, performance measures, and financial operating routines.
  • Direct accounting policy, general ledger integrity, monthly and annual close, financial statements, management reporting, and compliance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Perform and present financial analysis involving revenue, costs, labor, margins, cash flow, profitability, pricing, financing, investments, and business risk.
  • Manage financial reporting and planning for an enterprise with annual revenue exceeding $40 million and build scalable capacity for continued growth.
  • Maintain audit-ready compliance with applicable FAR, DFARS, Cost Accounting Standards, DCAA and DCMA expectations, contract requirements, and company accounting practices.
  • Maintain practical knowledge of the Department of Labor Service Contract Act, applicable wage determinations, collective bargaining agreements[TW1] , and the financial implications of union-represented government-contract work.
  • Provide financial analysis and costing support for collective bargaining and employment or union negotiations, including wages, fringe benefits, pension, paid leave, staffing, and other economic terms.
  • Oversee indirect-rate structures, create cost pools, allocation bases, forward pricing, incurred-cost submissions when applicable, unallowable costs, and contract-level profitability reporting.
  • Prepare, review, approve, and monitor complex government invoice submissions through Wide Area Workflow, including supporting documentation, acceptance, rejection resolution, and reconciliation.
  • Direct the accurate recording, approval, reconciliation, and payment of accounts payable and maintain appropriate vendor, purchasing, and disbursement controls.
  • Direct the accurate recording, billing, collection, cash application, aging, and reconciliation of accounts receivable, including government and commercial receivables.
  • Lead cash management, banking, credit relationships, working-capital planning, collections, debt compliance, and liquidity forecasting.
  • Lead federal, state, local, and other tax return preparation and filing in coordination with qualified advisors; maintain supporting schedules and ensure timely compliance.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and administer equipment financing, , and related lender requirements.
  • Develop and execute financing strategies for new construction, commercial land or building acquisitions, and other capital projects.
  • Lead or support the negotiation, placement, renewal, and financial evaluation of corporate insurance products, including workers' compensation, commercial general liability, bonding, cyber liability, key-person coverage, property or acquisition coverage, and merger-and-acquisition-related insurance.
  • Lead the selection, implementation, configuration, and optimization of Unanet accounting software or an equivalent government-contracting enterprise resource planning system.
  • Ensure reliable integration among accounting, Wide Area Workflow, banking, procurement, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, timekeeping, and the Human Resources Information System, preferably Paylocity.
  • Oversee the financial recording and reconciliation of employee time.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls, approval authorities, reconciliations, segregation of duties, records, audit support, and corrective-action processes.
  • Recruit, develop, supervise, and hold accountable a capable finance organization appropriate to the company's size and growth objectives.
  • Present financial performance, forecasts, risks, financing needs, and recommendations to the CEO, lenders, and other authorized stakeholders.

  • Travel by automobile and commercial aircraft as required, sometimes on short notice.

  • Perform, interpret, and explain detailed financial analysis, forecasts, reconciliations, models, and variance information.
  • Maintain sustained attention across competing priorities, interruptions, audits, deadlines, and time-sensitive issues.
  • Exercise independent judgment in high-impact, ambiguous, confidential, or crisis situations.
  • Evaluate financial and compliance risk, negotiate complex terms, challenge assumptions, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Communicate complex financial matters clearly to financial and non-financial audiences and produce or review executive-level written work.
  • Delegate effectively while maintaining accountability for financial accuracy, compliance, controls, and enterprise outcomes.
Pay:
$150,000.00 - $215,000.00 per year
