Job Description

Pay:
Salary BOE Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm
Job Summary:
The CFO will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, overseeing the company's financial health, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
Objectives of the Role Maintain the financial integrity and stability of Royal Trucking Company Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities Ensure compliance with all applicable financial, tax, and regulatory requirements Provide accurate, timely financial insight to executive leadership Lead and support finance and accounting team
Core Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership & Strategy Serve as a key financial advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team Support business strategy through financial analysis, scenario planning, and risk assessment Evaluate revenue, expenses, and operational performance to identify efficiencies and cost-control opportunities Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting Lead Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), including annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial planning Ensure accurate, timely financial statements and reports Prepare and present financial reports to leadership, lenders, and others Cash, Capital & Risk Management Manage cash flow, investments, debt, insurance, and capital expenditures Oversee capital structure and maintain relationships with financial institutions and lenders Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks Operations & Compliance Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, internal controls, and financial systems Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and best practices Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial and tax requirements Team & Cross-Functional Leadership Lead, mentor, and manage finance and accounting personnel Oversee financial IT systems and data integrity Coordinate HR-related financial functions with internal staff and external providers
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Qualifications Five or more years of executive-level financial leadership experience Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance Proven leadership skills with high integrity and accountability Excellent communication skills Preferred Skills & Qualifications Master's degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent experience Professional certification (CPA preferred) Experience in transportation, trucking, logistics, or asset-intensive industries #HSR125
