Full Job Description Salary:

Job Description:

Responsible for Management and Oversight of work in the Accounting and Finance Department including the following areas: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Cash Receipts both by ACH and by Check, Grant/Jail/Hospital/Medicaid/Medicare/Day Hab/Third Party and Other Billings, Financial Statements to Board of Trustees/State/Bank and Other, Federal/State/Local Financial Reporting, Cost Accounting and Quarterly/Annual Program Cost Reporting, Budgeting and Financial Forecasting, Fixed Asset tracking and depreciation calculation, All Financial Audits Management/Coordination and Preparation, Account Reconciliations for Asset/Liability Accounts, Retirement Plan Oversight/Management and Coordination including Investment Committee Chair Responsibilities and Trusteeship, Payroll and related reporting requirements and other duties as assigned/required. Requires strong organizational, excellent communication and computer skills including extensive use of spreadsheets, word processing and database management. Also requires good conflict resolution, responsive listening skills and excellent problem-solving ability which is concrete and solution focused.

Education:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's Degree Preferred).

Experience:

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with a Minimum of 5 years of supervisory/management experience in an accounting and finance office environment; Health-related entity and Governmental Fund Accounting experience preferred.

Hours of Work:

8am-5pm; Monday through Friday, occasional overtime is required.

Licenses/Certifications:

Valid driver's license, must be insurable by Agency insurance. Texas CPA or pursuing the Texas CPA Certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for long periods of time; to lift at least 40lbs, use of 10 key calculator; to communicate effectively; Word excel, and computer literate; ability to work closely with others, knowledge of accounting and financial principles; ability to comprehend and implement program required changes.
