Job Description

Job Overview Comanche County Medical Center is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Administrative Leadership Team. The CFO will serve as a key business partner to the Chief Executive Officer and provide leadership and oversight for the financial operations of the organization. This position is responsible for financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, internal controls, revenue cycle oversight, month-end financial activities, regulatory reporting, and coordination of external audits. The CFO will also provide financial information and guidance to the CEO, Board of Directors, and organizational leadership to support sound operational and strategic decision-making. The CFO provides leadership and oversight for several key organizational functions and departments, including the Business Office, Admissions, Medical Records, General Accounting, Central Supply, and Human Resources. The ideal candidate will be a strong, collaborative leader with extensive healthcare financial management experience, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles, hospital financial operations, CMS requirements, regulatory compliance, and revenue cycle management. Duties Responsible for preparing and maintaining regular financial planning reports; monthly profit and loss statements, cash flow, etc. Responsible for reporting all financial reports to the organization's board of directors at monthly board meetings. Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets and develop financial business plans and forecasts. Remain up to date on nonprofit audit best practices and state and federal laws. Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures. Coordinate audits and proper filing of all legal and regulatory reports and ensures compliance with the same. Review all month-end closing activities, including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, overhead cost allocations, etc. Serve as the key point of contact for external auditors. Manage preparation and support all external audits. Responsible for the oversight of the Business Office, Admissions, Medical Records, General Accounting, Central Supply and the Human Resources Departments. Analyze, verify, manage and implement budgets by department. Responsible for all areas of revenue cycle. Ensure proper flow of revenue, billing and payment operations. Provide service direct to patients while maintaining a positive patient relations atmosphere. Interact with patients, family members, Medical Staff members, department managers, and employees on a continuous basis. Perform any other duties as required or assigned by supervisor. Qualifications At least five years' experience as a CFO or equivalent, preferably in a hospital setting. Solid working knowledge of all accounting policies and procedures. Excellent understanding of CMS regulations to include compliance and reporting. Leadership experience overseeing finance teams within dynamic organizations or non-profit entities; excellent negotiation skills are highly desirable. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; advanced certifications such as CPA or CFA are preferred. Strategic thinker with a comprehensive understanding of market analysis, supply chain considerations, cost control measures, and revenue cycle management.

Proven ability to manage complex mergers & acquisitions processes, risk analysis procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Pay:
$135,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
