Overview:
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is Sentara Health's flagship academic medical center and a 525-bed tertiary care hospital located in Norfolk, Virginia. As the region's only Level I Adult Trauma Center, home to Sentara Heart Hospital, and primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School, SNGH plays a critical role in advancing clinical excellence, medical education, research, and innovation across the health system. The organization is nationally recognized for high-acuity patient care and serves as a cornerstone of healthcare delivery for the Hampton Roads region. The CFO provides leadership through financial analysis, management and decision support to assigned areas. Collaborates as a business partner with hospital administrators and Corporate VPs on strategic and operational planning, revenue and cost optimization, as well as other corporate driven initiatives. As an essential member of Division's Senior Leadership Team, provides management input to improve/maintain performance of Sentara within the hospital and assigned system areas. Education Masters Degree (Required) Certification/Licensure Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (Required) Experience Minimum 10 years of experience in Accounting/Finance required. Minimum 8 years of healthcare experience required. Minimum 5 years of Leadership experience required. Sentara is currently reviewing market compensation for this role.
