RN & OSHA

Compliance Manager . This is a hands-on position that combines direct patient care with operating room coordination, pre-operative and post-operative nursing, staff education, and OSHA/compliance responsibilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, clinically confident, and able to anticipate the needs of both the surgeon and the patient in a fast-paced surgical environment. Position ResponsibilitiesClinical Nursing & Patient Care Provide professional nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Provide comfort, education, and support to pre-operative and post-operative patients. Participate in the care and monitoring of patients receiving conscious sedation. Carry out physician orders and administer prescribed medications. Monitor and document vital signs and patient condition. Apply and change dressings as directed. Assist the physician during surgical and office procedures. Maintain strict aseptic technique and actively monitor for potential breaks in sterile technique. Ensure proper handling, labeling, and processing of specimens. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Provide age-appropriate and culturally appropriate patient care. Follow Standard Precautions and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment. Assist with post-operative patient care, including dressing changes, drain removal, wound care, suture removal, and follow-up appointments. Triage patient concerns and determine appropriate follow-up or escalation. Respond to and document patient telephone calls and clinical concerns. Operating Room & PACU Management Coordinate daily operating room activities to ensure sterility, cleanliness, organization, and availability of properly functioning equipment and supplies. Ensure the operating room is fully prepared prior to each surgical case. Help ensure all surgical cases begin on time and efficiently. Anticipate the surgeon's needs and proactively prepare for each procedure to minimize delays and unnecessary downtime. Verify that required medications, implants, pain pumps, mesh, garments, specialty equipment, and other surgical supplies are available prior to surgery. Monitor OR and anesthesia supplies throughout the surgical day and maintain appropriate inventory levels. Perform daily checks of OR equipment and document completion. Coordinate efficient and timely room turnovers between surgical cases. Maintain a clean, organized, professional environment throughout all patient-facing areas. Serve as a primary coordinator among the surgeon, anesthesia team, nursing staff, and other disciplines to promote efficient, well-coordinated patient care. Pre-Operative & Surgical Patient Coordination Manage the pre-operative and medical clearance process for upcoming surgical patients. Review patient health histories and identify when additional medical clearance or testing is indicated. Ensure all required medical records, laboratory results, clearances, and other documentation are obtained and approved prior to the patient's pre-operative appointment. Prepare patient charts and documentation for pre-operative visits. Enter prescriptions for physician review and approval as needed. Ensure all surgical requirements are completed and documented prior to surgery. Coordinate ordering and availability of medications, supplies, implants, garments, and specialty equipment for upcoming cases. OSHA, Safety & Compliance Manage and maintain OSHA compliance programs, policies, procedures, and required documentation. Maintain OSHA, Policy & Procedure, and

MSDS/SDS

manuals and ensure they remain current. Maintain required Surglogs documentation. Conduct and document monthly fire extinguisher checks. Prepare and conduct required fire drills, malignant hyperthermia drills, OSHA education, and other staff training as indicated. Assist with maintaining a safe, compliant, and properly prepared surgical environment. Educate and mentor staff regarding safety procedures, infection prevention, OSHA requirements, and office policies. Maintain the National Breast Implant Registry and ensure appropriate documentation is completed. Staff Leadership & Operational Efficiency Orient and mentor new staff members. Work collaboratively with the Office Manager and physician to identify opportunities to improve patient care, efficiency, workflow, and cost management. Help evaluate supply usage and pricing and review supply costs annually. Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory levels while minimizing unnecessary waste. Identify opportunities to improve operating room efficiency and reduce delays. Promote teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and exceptional patient care throughout the practice. Patient Experience & Additional Responsibilities Provide exemplary customer service to patients, prospective patients, families, vendors, and other individuals interacting with the practice. Contribute to a positive, welcoming, and professional patient experience. Assist with recruitment and conversion of prospective patients when appropriate. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license . Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification . Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU experience required. Operating room, ambulatory surgery, plastic surgery, or cosmetic surgery experience is highly desirable. Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organization. Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced surgical environment. Ability to anticipate needs and work proactively with minimal supervision. Strong teamwork and leadership skills. Excellent patient-service skills with an empathetic and professional approach. Ability to maintain accurate and thorough clinical and compliance documentation. Comfortable balancing direct patient care with administrative, compliance, and operational responsibilities. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, squat, kneel, and assist with moving and positioning patients and equipment. The RN must be able to safely lift and/or assist with lifting patients and equipment as required by the position.
