Full Job Description Position Description:
Function Overviews Reporting to one or more Studio Directors, the Permit Expediter supports timely project execution by coordinating with local, state, and federal agencies to obtain required permits. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, document preparation, and proactive communication to ensure efficient approval processes for construction, environmental, and operational projects. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. Essential Job Functions Prepare, review, and submit permit applications in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Coordinate with regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate timely permit approvals. Track permit statuses, maintain compliance records, and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date. Interpret zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations to support project compliance. Schedule and coordinate inspections with appropriate agencies. Communicate clearly and professionally with regulatory officials, clients, and project teams. Maintain organized digital and physical files related to permitting activities. Marginal Job Functions (Tasks that may be reassigned as reasonable accommodation.) Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, or data entry. Support project teams with miscellaneous coordination tasks not directly tied to permitting. Attend occasional project meetings or site visits. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5+ years' experience working as a permit manager with prior relevant positions at permit expediting firms, general contractors, architectural or engineering firms. preferably in the Retail/Restaurant environment Knowledge of local, state, and federal permitting regulations. Ability to interpret zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with project management or permitting software. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast paced environment. Preferred
• Experience in retail/restaurant architecture, engineering, regulatory compliance and/or Project Management. Experience in retail/restaurant construction, engineering, or regulatory compliance. Prior experience coordinating with state and local government agencies. Familiarity with digital permitting portals and inspection scheduling systems.

Physical Demands:
