PRIMARY PURPOSE
To oversee the E-Rate program for Mesquite ISD, comply with Federal regulations, and to ensure the efficient use of E-Rate funds for Mesquite
ISD. QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma/GED Valid Texas driver's license
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Experience with Federal E-Rate program including familiarity with deadlines and legal compliance. Experience working with E-Rate reimbursement options (SPI and BEAR) Experience with CIPA guidelines for E-Rate Track regulatory changes from the FCC and USAC Familiarity with
USAC EPC
web application Accounting Advanced knowledge of data manipulation in spreadsheets Knowledge of technology networking equipment (switches, firewalls) preferred Possess effective communication, public-relations, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Compliance with E-Rate 470 and 471 process and timelines Compliance with E-Rate data retention policies Competitive bidding processes in compliance with FCC rules and USAC guidelines. Excel pivot tables and advanced macros Database access and data manipulation Budget management
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Management of Mesquite ISD's Federal E-Rate funding.
Legal Compliance:
Ensuring that all procurement activities adhere to relevant laws and regulations, including ethical and sustainability considerations.
Cost Reduction:
Continuously seeking opportunities to reduce costs with vendors without compromising quality
Data Analysis:
Using data and analytics to make informed decisions about technology trends, track performance, and identify areas for improvement
Documentation:
Maintaining accurate records of all funding activities, contracts, and supplier communications
Budget Management:
Monitor budgets and ensure that expenses align with financial objectives and legal constraints Generate reports and perform financial audits Respond to
