AML Compliance Officer GoldUnion Beverly Hills, CA Job Details Full-time $85,000 - $100,000 a year 2 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications KYC Bachelor's degree Attention to detail Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist Internal audits Full Job Description About the Role GoldUnion US is a growing gold and precious metals company seeking a Compliance Officer with 3-5 years of relevant experience to join our Beverly Hills headquarters. You will implement, manage, and monitor our U.S. Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (CFT) program, helping ensure operations and transactions comply with applicable U.S. regulations and precious metals industry requirements. This hands-on role offers ownership of daily compliance activities, with guidance on complex matters from our Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), U.S. management, and France compliance team. Prior senior-level or department leadership experience is not required. Responsibilities AML/CFT Program Management
  • Manage the AML/CFT program in accordance with FinCEN requirements applicable to precious metals dealers , in coordination with GoldUnion Group France.
  • Develop, update, and implement policies and procedures based on identified risks and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct ongoing risk assessments, coordinate independent external audits, and monitor internal controls.
  • Participate in U.S. and France management compliance meetings and escalate issues requiring corrective action. KYC/KYB & Due Diligence
  • Manage and oversee KYC/KYB, Due Diligence (DD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes, including individual and corporate customer identification and verification.
  • Conduct EDD investigations involving high-risk customers and Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).
  • Investigate U.S. and international sanctions alerts and maintain accurate compliance records. Transaction Monitoring & Reporting
  • Analyze financial transactions and physical movements of precious metals for suspicious activity, including significant cash transactions requiring additional scrutiny.
  • Prepare and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), as applicable, in coordination with the CCO and U.S. management.
  • Prepare and maintain required regulatory reports and supporting documentation; escalate significant risks and suspicious activity. Training & Regulatory Coordination
  • Coordinate mandatory AML/CFT and regulatory training through third-party providers.
  • Provide compliance guidance to management and branch teams.
  • Assist with FinCEN and IRS examinations, audits, inspections, and related regulatory interactions.
  • Monitor regulatory developments affecting U.S. operations and the precious metals industry. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, Compliance, or a related field.
  • Approximately 3-5 years of experience in AML, regulatory compliance, financial crime prevention, or a related field.
  • Solid compliance knowledge, attention to detail, sound judgment, and strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle daily responsibilities independently and escalate complex matters appropriately.
Preferred:
Experience in precious metals, jewelry, financial services, or another regulated industry; hands-on KYC/KYB, EDD, PEP/sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, investigations, and regulatory reporting experience. CAMS certification and knowledge of Dealers in Precious Metals, Precious Stones, or Jewels (DPMS) are a plus.
