Pay:

$28-$33/hour

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM |

About The Company:

Our client is a growing environmental services organization that provides critical response services and works across multiple states. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-paced team where you will interact with professionals across legal, operations, and project management. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contractor Licensing & Compliance Coordinator to support state licensing and regulatory requirements. This position will play an important role in ensuring the organization maintains the appropriate contractor licenses and remains authorized to perform work across various states. This is an administrative and compliance-focused position , rather than a hands-on construction or general contractor role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing detailed documentation, researching requirements, tracking deadlines, and taking initiative in an environment where processes are still evolving.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, organize, and track state contractor license applications and renewals Manage detailed licensing applications, some of which may be 50+ pages Collect affidavits, work history, insurance information, bonds, and other required documentation Coordinate notarization and submission of licensing materials Research state-specific contractor licensing and compliance requirements Maintain accurate records of licenses, expiration dates, bonds, insurance, and other regulatory requirements Monitor licensing status and proactively identify upcoming deadlines or potential compliance concerns Partner with project management and operations teams to ensure licensing requirements are satisfied before work begins Assist with documentation needed to qualify project managers for applicable contractor licensing examinations Follow up with internal stakeholders to obtain missing or updated information Maintain organized files and tracking systems for multiple state licenses Provide additional administrative and compliance support to the legal and operations teams as needed

Qualifications:

1-2+ years of strong compliance, licensing, construction administration, or project coordination experience Experience reviewing or managing contractor licenses, permits, or regulatory documentation is highly preferred General understanding of construction, real estate, permitting, or contractor compliance Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize tasks and work with a sense of urgency Comfortable communicating with multiple teams and following up to obtain information Able to work independently and use sound judgment when processes or instructions are not clearly defined Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office High school diploma or equivalent required Must be willing to complete a background check and 4-panel drug screening
