Full Job Description Major Responsibilities:
Assist in financing activities and the issuance of taxable and tax-exempt debt, including request for proposal process and negotiations and the drafting of marketing materials or other documents as needed. Monitor the compliance of all outstanding debt. This includes, but is not limited to, tracking the costs of issuance and the use of all proceeds, maintaining a private business use database and modeling for IRS reporting, retaining pertinent bond records, monitoring and measuring all debt covenants, and preparing ongoing compliance packages for stakeholders and distributing all quarterly and annual filings. Review and approve invoices for debt service payments and other finance-related fees. Prepare monthly debt tracking reports for rates, interest expense and other related financing costs including variance tracking to budget. This will also include preparation of forecasts and slide presentations for the Treasurer and Board. Analyze and perform lease versus buy analysis on proposals (real property and equipment) and prepare term sheet and analysis on intercompany loans and joint venture financing strategies. Maintain policies, procedures, and operational controls related to debt and derivatives, leasing, and compliance.
Certification Required:
NA Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or other related fields.
Work Experience Required:
5 years of financial analyst experience, ideally with debt programs for not-for-profit healthcare,
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Strategic thinker with working knowledge of credit markets, tax-exempt and taxable debt structures, derivatives and other key financing concepts. Understanding of credit agreements and covenant and tax compliance monitoring and reporting. Advanced project management skills and ability to drive processes to meet critical timelines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with ability to reconcile across multiple data sources and provide reporting that requires minimal review; ability to interpret, analyze and edit legal agreements (financing agreements, swap documents, etc). Solid Excel and Powerpoint abilities and ability to summarize complex information for leadership. This job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected of the incumbent.
