Job Description

East Missouri Action Agency has an opening for a Compliance Officer . The Compliance Officer (CO) oversees the agency's compliance program and ensures adherence to all applicable federal, state, local, contractual, accreditation, and funding requirements. Working collaboratively with agency leadership and program staff, the CO develops and monitors compliance practices, conducts reviews and risk assessments, provides guidance and technical assistance on regulatory and funding requirements, and addresses compliance concerns. This position promotes accountability, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement while providing independent oversight in a complex and fast-paced environment. This position requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent along with a minimum of 3 years experience in compliance and quality control. An additional 3 years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. Knowledge of grant funding related to nonprofit or community action programs is preferred. Candidate must be a Certified Community Action Professional (CCAP) or must achieve that certification within 3 years of employment. Awareness and compliance with all work standards, policies, and procedures of EMAA; upholding organization values and confidentiality is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience utilizing data management systems, reporting software, and technology to support organization operations is a must, as well as the ability to manage time and communicate effectively. A valid Missouri driver's license, access to a licensed and insured vehicle and the willingness to travel for agency purposes is required. Starting pay range for this position is $31.52 to $34.72/hour . This position works Monday - Thursday from 7:30am to 5:00pm, for a total of 36 hours/week.
