Job Description

Company Overview The Arc Greater Hudson Valley is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to providing support and services to over 1,800 people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and to their families in Sullivan, Orange and Dutchess Counties, New York. A chapter of The Arc New York, our main offices are located at 162 East Broadway in Monticello, NY. Our agency offers a broad range of services including Residential Services, Clinical Services, Day Services, Family Support Services, Guardianship Services, Employment Services, Recreation and more. Purpose of Position:
Assist the Director of Corporate Compliance in the ongoing monitoring and oversight of the agency's Compliance Program by monitoring trends in reported compliance violations, internal review findings, survey citations, third party audit results, billing adjustments and self-disclosures. Conduct internal audits in to all assigned programs on an annual basis.
Expectations:
Exercise the utmost ethical standards of compliance, confidentiality and judgment while providing leadership and direction in all areas of corporate compliance. Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes effective and harmonious relationships with collaterals, staff and co-workers. Work as a team member to maintain organized systems of record retention and data base management for the systematic analysis of agency activity and risk.
Responsibilities:
Work with the CCO to foster a culture of compliance within the agency and identify opportunities for improvement in the facilitation of the corporate compliance plan. Conduct internal audits as assigned by the Director of Compliance. Assist in information gathering during investigations/audits. Assist in data collection/input as directed by the CCO Assist in the procurement and distribution of materials during the course of internal/external audits. Follow up on all completed internal compliance audits to ensure the programs effectively implemented a corrective action plan. Train program staff and management in areas related to compliance, making them aware of compliance issues, areas of risk, best practices and sharing relevant knowledge gained from seminars and trainings. Participate in Corporate Compliance Committee and other Committees as assigned by CCO; Maintain valid licenses {including driving license, as applicable], certifications or any other credentials that are required or necessary to carry out the responsibilities upon and throughout employment. Will be responsible for requirements defined by agency employment policies, practices and procedures.
Qualifications:
BA preferred (preferably Human Services) Associates Degree accepted (preferably Human Services) and HS diploma with relevant skills and experience in the field will be considered. Strong writing/typing, computer skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft suite. Experience in OPWDD waiver programs/regulations. ALL123
