Credit Manager We are looking for a motivated, organized, and customer-focused Credit Manager to join our Buddy's Home Furnishings team. This is a hands-on store position with a lot of variety. Our Credit Managers work directly with customers throughout their relationship with Buddy's — from helping new customers get started to keeping existing accounts on track. You'll spend your day talking with customers, solving problems, managing accounts, assisting with sales, working in the field, and helping the store team reach its goals. What You'll Do Build relationships with customers and provide excellent customer service Manage and maintain customer accounts Contact customers regarding upcoming and past-due payments Work with customers to resolve account issues and make payment arrangements Process payments and maintain accurate account information Review customer applications and assist with the approval process Follow up with new and existing customers by phone, text, and other approved communication methods Perform outside account-management and customer-service work, including visiting customers at their homes or workplaces when necessary Spend time both inside the store and out in the community as part of normal job responsibilities Help customers find products that fit their needs and budget Assist the sales team and participate in store promotions Help maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming showroom Work closely with the General Manager and other team members to meet store sales, collection, and growth goals Assist with other day-to-day store operations as needed What We're Looking For You do not need to come from the rent-to-own industry. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with people, can have professional conversations about money, stays organized, and follows through.

Credit Managers are active participants in the entire operation of the store. Some days will be focused heavily on account management and collections; others may include helping customers on the sales floor, working through applications, following up on leads, visiting customers in the field, assisting with merchandise, or helping the team solve whatever comes up that day. The position requires regular local travel as part of account management and customer follow-up responsibilities. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements This is an active position that includes work both indoors and outdoors . Team members may work in a variety of environments and weather conditions while performing customer visits and other store responsibilities. The position requires the ability to: Regularly stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, reach, and twist Move between sitting, standing, and active work throughout the workday Lift and carry up to 70 pounds unassisted Assist with moving merchandise weighing up to 200 pounds with assistance Perform work both inside and outside in varying weather and environmental conditions Safely perform physical tasks associated with normal retail and field operations Enter and exit vehicles regularly and travel locally as part of the workday Additional Requirements Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to safely operate a company vehicle Ability to perform regular local field work Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation We are a drug-free workplace.
