Job Description

Commercial Underwriting Team Lead If you've built a strong foundation in commercial credit and C&I underwriting and you're ready to lead a team, this could be a good next step. We're working with a growing community bank that's looking for a Commercial Underwriting Team Lead who can bring both strong credit judgment and a willingness to develop people. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll continue to be involved in commercial credit analysis and underwriting while overseeing a team of analysts and supporting commercial lending across the banks footprint in Pennsylvania and New York.

What you'll be doing Lead, coach, and develop a team of Credit Analysts Assign and prioritize work while managing workflow and deadlines Review analysts' work for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and credit quality Perform and oversee financial analysis of commercial borrowers, guarantors, and related entities Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, collateral, repayment capacity, and other factors affecting credit risk Review historical and projected financial performance, including leverage, liquidity, profitability, and debt-service coverage Prepare and review credit presentations, annual reviews, renewals, modifications, and other credit documentation Work closely with Commercial Lenders to understand credit requests, address underwriting questions, and help structure appropriate financing Identify credit weaknesses, emerging risks, policy exceptions, and other issues and communicate them clearly to lenders and Credit Administration Interested?
