This person will catch up on missing credit applications across the customer base, including accounts brought on through recent acquisitions, and then maintain those applications on an ongoing basis as they expire. The role sits within the Collections team and works closely with Collections Analysts, Billing, and Sales to make sure every active customer has current, complete credit documentation on file. Responsibilities Audit the customer master file to identify accounts with missing, incomplete, or expired credit applications, including newly acquired accounts. Build and work a prioritized backlog based on balance, credit exposure, and account activity. Contact customers by phone and email to request completed credit applications and supporting documents (trade and bank references, W-9s, tax exemption certificates, financial statements, and personal guarantees where required). Follow up persistently and professionally until documentation is received, and escalate unresponsive accounts. Review submitted applications for completeness and accuracy; verify trade and bank references and pull business credit reports. Maintain a renewal calendar and contact customers ahead of expiration dates so applications stay current. Update customer credit records in the accounting/ERP system and keep organized digital files. Partner with Collections Analysts, Billing, and Sales to resolve credit holds tied to missing documentation, and flag high-risk accounts. Track and report progress to management (backlog remaining, completion rate, upcoming expirations). Qualifications 2+ years of credit and/or collections experience, B2B preferred. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field strongly preferred. Experience reviewing credit applications, checking references, and interpreting business credit reports. Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, filtering, and tracking large data sets). Experience with accounting or ERP software. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work a large backlog against deadlines. Comfortable having direct conversations with customers about credit limits, terms, and documentation requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to work on-site in Stoughton five days a week. #RJAF123
